Malnutrition remains a significant global health challenge, particularly among children, with profound implications for their growth, health, and academic performance. This study investigates the prevalence of malnutrition among primary school pupils and its impact on academic achievement. Drawing on a synthesis of existing literature and empirical data, the research explores the relationship between malnutrition and academic performance, as well as the potential effects of dietary interventions on pupils’ learning outcomes. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of nutritional patterns with qualitative insights into the factors influencing dietary choices and educational attainment. Findings from this study are expected to provide valuable insights for parents, educators, policymakers, and employers, informing interventions to address malnutrition and promote optimal learning environments for children. The study is conducted in five primary schools in Obudu, Cross River State, focusing on toddlers in age. Limitations include constraints on time and resources, as well as the inability to encompass all public primary schools.
