This study investigates the impact of parental divorce on children’s behavior in a school environment, focusing on anti-social and aggressive tendencies, as well as conflict behavior. Using a descriptive survey design, data was collected from 150 students (75 males and 75 females) across two local government areas in Lagos State. The research instrument comprised a questionnaire with sections covering respondents’ backgrounds and statements related to the research questions. Validity was ensured through face validity, and reliability was established with a Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient of 0.94. Results from the analysis revealed no significant difference between parental divorce and children’s anti-social behavior, supporting hypothesis 1. However, a significant association was found between parental divorce and children’s conflict behavior, indicating potential negative effects. Further research is needed to explore the broader implications of divorce on children’s well-being and behavioral outcomes in educational settings.
