Who is Eligible?
- Academically talented: Hold an offer for a full-time taught Master’s course at UAL starting in 2024/25 (qualifying programs include Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes, or MSc).
- From a qualifying country: Be ordinarily resident in a low-income country as listed on the UAL website (excludes Canada, China, Japan, UK, USA, and EU/EEA countries).
- OR seeking asylum in the UK: If you’re an asylum seeker in the UK at the time of application, you may also be eligible.
- Financial need: Have an annual household income of £25,000 or less (or equivalent in your currency).
- Driven and passionate: Demonstrate your goals through a compelling personal statement addressing specific questions provided by UAL.

(a) the specific elements of this programme that attracted you to the University.
(b) confirm how successful completion of this programme will benefit your career and personal development and
(c) how this will enable you to contribute to your community/region or country?
- Gather your documents: Prepare proof of residency in a qualifying country for the past 3 years (e.g., utility bills, official documents). If an asylum seeker, provide a Home Office letter.
- Demonstrate financial need: Submit evidence of your annual household income (tax statements, payslips, bank statements). Ensure documents are recent (within 3 months) and translated if not in English.
- Showcase your vision: Craft a strong personal statement that addresses the questions outlined on the UAL scholarship website.
