Step 1: Introduction to Polite Words

  • Show picture cards or illustrations that depict polite interactions (e.g., asking for something with “please,” receiving something with “thank you”).
  • Discuss the meaning of each polite word and when it is used.

Step 2: Guided Practice

  • Demonstrate how to use polite words in different situations. For example, “Can I have a toy, please?” or “Thank you for the snack.”
  • Encourage children to repeat these phrases after you and practice using them.

Step 3: Role-Playing

  • Set up role-playing scenarios where children practice using polite words. For example:
    • Pretend to offer a toy and ask the child to say, “Please can I have the toy?”
