II. Job Description

  • Job Type: On-site
  • Summary: As a Programme Associate, you’ll support the Biodiversity and Society (BDS) programme at UNU-IAS, focusing on operational work for the Secretariat of the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI), capacity development, research projects related to the Satoyama Initiative, and administrative activities.

III. Job Requirements

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biodiversity, environment, development, social sciences, or related field
  • Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years or Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in coordinating conferences, logistics, and financial arrangements
  • Familiarity with international organizations or major international initiatives is an asset
  • Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Fluency in English and Japanese required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment

IV. Salary and Benefits

  • Salary Range: ¥413,167 – ¥456,417 per month
  • Benefits:
  • Annual leave of 30 days
  • Health insurance scheme
  • PSA contract with possibility for renewal, subject to performance and requirements
