Instructional Objectives
At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
- Demonstrate the proper starting position for a 50-meter race.
- Identify and explain at least three safety rules to follow during athletics.
- Participate in a 50-meter race while applying the safety rules learned.
Entry Behaviour
Pupils should already know how to run and have participated in simple races or games involving running. They should also understand basic concepts of physical safety during activities.
Instructional Materials
- Cones to mark the starting and finishing lines.
- A stopwatch for timing races.
- Visual aids showing the starting position and safety rules (charts or flashcards).
