The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Cameroon, in partnership with the Ernesto Illy Foundation, is offering a full scholarship for Cameroonian women to pursue a Master’s in Coffee Economics and Science in Italy. Applications close on June 30, 2024.
I. Basic Information
- Scholarship Award: Full scholarship covering tuition, accommodation, meals, and travel for a Master’s program in Italy.
- Deadline: June 30, 2024, at midnight (WAT)
- Eligibility:
- Must be a woman of Cameroonian nationality or a refugee living in Cameroon for the last 3 years.
- Must be under 24 years old.
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering, science, agriculture, or a related discipline.
- Must not have previously received this scholarship.
- Must be enrolled in a Cameroonian university in a course closely related to the program.
- Benefits:
- 100% tuition fee coverage (€15,000).
- Teaching materials, accommodation, meals, public transport in Italy, and round-trip ticket.
- Support from UNFPA for visa and degree validation.
II. Programme Details
The Master’s program, conducted in collaboration between the University of Udine and the University of Trieste, focuses on the entire coffee production chain. The course includes 400 hours of lessons, 9 educational modules, and a final project work. The program runs primarily online from January to November 2025, with a 4-5 week residential period in Trieste, Italy.
