Instructional Objectives

At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

  1. Identify the speaker as a part of a computer and describe its function in producing sound.
  2. Demonstrate how to connect a speaker to a computer using simple instructions.
  3. Explain why sound is important when using a computer, expressing their feelings about music and sounds.

Entry Behaviour

Pupils should already know what a computer is and have basic knowledge of some of its parts, such as the monitor and keyboard.

Instructional Materials

  1. Visual aids showing different parts of a computer, including a speaker.
  2. A working speaker connected to a computer for demonstration.
  3. Flashcards with images and functions of the speaker.

Part of a Computer

What is a computer?

A computer is a device that process and accept data to give information.

Speaker

A speaker is a part of a computer that helps us hear sounds. It converts electrical signals from the computer into sound waves so we can listen to music, watch videos, and hear alerts. Speakers come in different shapes and sizes, and they can be connected to computers using wires or Bluetooth.
