Mouse as an Input Device
What is a Mouse?
A mouse is a small, hand-held device used with computers to help us interact with what’s on the screen. It allows us to move a pointer and select items, making it easier to use various programs and perform tasks.
Parts of a Mouse
- Left Button: This button is used for clicking to select items, open files, and perform most tasks.
- Right Button: Clicking this button opens additional options or menus related to what you clicked on.
- Scroll Wheel: Located between the left and right buttons, it allows you to scroll up and down through long pages or documents.
How It Works
When you move the mouse across a flat surface, the pointer on the screen moves in the same direction. You can click on items by pressing the left button, double-click to open files, and use the scroll wheel to move through pages.
Important of Mouse
1. The mouse makes it easier for us to interact with the computer.
2. Instead of typing commands, you can quickly point and click to perform actions.
3. This helps us play games, create documents, and explore the internet more effectively.
4. It helps us quickly select and move things around on the screen.
