II. Job Description (Summary)
MTN Benin is seeking a Specialist in Customer Relations for its Information Systems team. The role focuses on maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of customer-related systems and applications, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring maximum system availability. The specialist will be responsible for managing Postpaid Billing, Interconnect Platforms, Mobile Number Portability (MNP) platforms, and system administration tasks. The role also involves liaising with suppliers for system upgrades and troubleshooting faults.
III. Job Responsibilities
- Perform operation and maintenance of customer-related systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot issues, ensuring fast resolution to maintain maximum system uptime.
- Coordinate with suppliers on system upgrades or integration of new network nodes.
- Support implementation of new features and provide business support.
- Manage the technology policies, procedures, and processes of the department.
- Oversee convergent billing and invoicing systems.
- Ensure compliance with company and departmental policies.
- Manage service requests and transitions, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Engage with stakeholders including internal teams and external vendors to improve technology and system performance.
IV. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Engineering diploma in Information Technology; B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Billing, Porting, and Interconnect Systems Management.
- Technical Competencies:
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems and database management (Oracle, MySQL, SQL).
- Familiarity with GSM and CDR knowledge.
- Skills in service management, shell scripting, and programming (Java, Python, .Net).
- Knowledge in ITIL, eTOM frameworks is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and reporting abilities.
