- Summary: The Senior Program Officer will provide technical and administrative oversight for AVoHC implementation activities, coordinating with various units and divisions to ensure effective execution and alignment with strategic goals.
III. Job Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in public health or a related field with at least 7 years of relevant experience, including 3 years at a supervisory level; or
- Bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience, including 3 years at a supervisory level.
- Experience: Demonstrated involvement in the successful development and management of emergency preparedness and response programs.
- Skills:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in producing precise reports and briefs
- Capability to operate in a multicultural environment
- High level of autonomy and team spirit
- Proficiency in one of the AU working languages (Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Kiswahili, Portuguese); fluency in an additional AU language is an advantage.

- Salary Range:
- US$ 96,921.34 annually for internationally recruited staff (P3 Step 5)
- US$ 78,461.08 annually for locally recruited staff
- Benefits: Inclusive of all allowances
