Instructional Objectives

At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

  1. Define history in their own words.
  2. Identify two reasons why we study history.
  3. Illustrate a simple timeline of their own daily activities.

Entry Behaviour

Pupils should already know basic concepts of time (yesterday, today, tomorrow) and the ability to recount simple personal experiences.

Why We Study History:

We study history to make better decisions for the future. 

We study history to helps us appreciate our culture and heritage.

We study history to help us understand where we come from and how different traditions and customs started.
