As a Central Accountant specializing in Record to Report at MultiChoice Group, you will be integral to the financial operations, focusing on month-end and year-end reporting, and ensuring robust controls and compliance. Key Responsibilities
Governance, Controls, & Policies
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial controls and policies.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance for fixed assets, revenue, subsidy, and stock activities.
- Address control weaknesses and enhance governance across financial processes.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring resolution of any findings.
Month-End and Year-End Reporting
- Oversee the complete month-end and year-end reporting process.
- Perform detailed analysis of financial trends and variances.
- Prepare and reconcile schedules and reports, ensuring alignment with the General Ledger.
- Ensure compliance with stock management and fixed asset policies.
- Collaborate with Finance Shared Services for accurate and timely financial reporting.
General Duties
- Assist with financial projects and ad-hoc tasks.
- Provide insightful analysis and support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements and standardization across finance functions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: BCom required; BCom Honours preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP and Great Plains systems.
- Expertise in Hyperion Financial Management and advanced Excel.
- Strong systematic, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
