Instructional Objectives

At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

  1. Define energy and describe its basic forms.
  2. Explain the concept of energy conversion with real-life examples.
  3. Identify different forms of energy such as mechanical, chemical, and electrical energy.

Entry Behavior

Pupils should already have basic knowledge of what power or energy is, and how they observe it in their daily lives (e.g., turning on lights, using appliances).

Definition of Energy: 

Energy is the ability to do work. It is what makes things move, light up, heat up, or even power machines. Everything we do, from running to turning on a light, requires energy.

Concept of Energy: Energy exists in many different forms, such as:

  • Chemical Energy
  • Electrical Energy
  • Solar Energy
