Instructional Objectives
At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
- Identify and name at least five different colors found in their immediate environment.
- Describe how colors can affect mood and emotions, providing examples from their own experiences.
- Create a simple artwork using at least three colors identified in their locality.
Entry Behaviour
Before starting this lesson, pupils should already know:
- Basic colors (red, blue, yellow, etc.) and their names.
- Examples of objects in their environment that display different colors.

Colors in Our Environment
In our surroundings, we see various colors that contribute to the beauty of our environment. Colors can be found in nature, buildings, clothing, and objects we use every day. Understanding and identifying these colors helps us appreciate our locality and express ourselves through art.
Common Colors Found in Our Locality:
- Green: Trees, grass, and leaves
- Blue: Sky and water bodies
- Red: Flowers like hibiscus and some fruits
- Yellow: Sunlight, ripe bananas, and school buses
- Brown: Earth, tree trunks, and some animals
