It delves into the historical context of educational policies in Nigeria, particularly the transition from Universal Primary Education (UPE) to UBE, highlighting the recurring issues faced in educational reforms. The study aims to investigate the extent to which UBE caters to children in the specified area, examining factors such as teacher recruitment, teacher-pupil ratio, availability of facilities and instructional materials, effectiveness of monitoring mechanisms, adherence to government policies on fees, provision of libraries, computer training, and sporting equipment in primary schools. By addressing these research questions, the study seeks to contribute valuable insights and recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of UBE implementation, thus promoting equitable access to quality education in Nigeria.
