The Alliance for African Partnership (AAP) invites applications for the fifth cohort of the African Futures Research Leadership Program, a competitive visiting scholar program for early career researchers.
I. Basic Information
• Scholarship award: Stipend, small grant for research, visa support, round-trip travel
• Deadline: Not specified; applications are currently open
• Eligibility:
- Citizens of an African country
- PhD completed within the last 10 years
- Academic staff at one of the AAP consortium universities
- Documented approval of leave or sabbatical
- Research aligned with AAP priority areas
- Prior scholars are not eligible

II. Programme Details
The program aims to strengthen African researchers’ capacity to become leaders in their communities. Scholars will work virtually starting in February 2025, spend September–December 2025 in-person at MSU, and complete their virtual collaboration in early 2026.
