Apply for Commonwealth Innovative Youth Essay Award (2024)

The Commonwealth Secretariat launches the Think Trade, Think Green: Commonwealth Innovative Youth Essay Award Competition for young researchers and students aged 18-29. Share insights on how trade policy can address the climate crisis in your country.

I. Basic Information

  • Scholarship Award:
    • First Prize: £1,000
    • Second and Third Prizes: £500 each
  • Deadline: 21 August 2024
  • Eligibility: Commonwealth nationals aged 18-29
  • Benefits: Publication of the top three essays and monetary prizes

II. Programme Details

The Commonwealth Innovative Youth Essay Award Competition challenges young people in the Commonwealth to explore the relationship between trade and climate change and propose solutions through trade policy. Winners will have their essays published and receive monetary awards.

III. Scholarship Requirements

  • How to Apply: Submit an essay (max 2,000 words) addressing how trade policy can solve a specific climate crisis problem in your country. Include your name, age, nationality, contact information, and a CV or short bio. Email your submission to tcs@commonwealth.int by 21 August 2024.
